Originally from Kitimat B.C, Kai-Jing was involved in Winter Sports at a young age. She has an extensive background in figure skating and ballet. She has competed at various Junior and Senior international figure skating competitions including Junior Worlds and the New Zealand Winter Games. Kai-Jing has coached figure skating from learn to skate to competitive level from 2009-2021 and holds a Skate Canada trained national coach certification.
Kai-Jing completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University then went on to complete her Doctor of Physiotherapy at Bond University. During her time at Simon Fraser University, she completed her Honours Thesis on Analyzing falls in competitive figure skaters.
She previously worked in private paediatric physiotherapy clinics treated children with various genetic conditions, developmental delays, and sport injuries. She has experience working with StarSkate and Competitive figure skaters throughout the Lower Mainland, including those who have qualified for the provincial and selected for the Skate Canada Next Gen Team. She actively participates in assisting the medical team for figure skating events and soccer tournaments. She was apart of the medical team for ISU Skate Canada events including Junior Worlds and Skate Canada International. Outside of skating, she assits with Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer.
